Computer Science (CS) plays an important role these days. CS is a subject that fascinates me with its power of applications. A master degree in CS with Database Administration as a major field is my next step before the PhD. I strongly wish to obtain a master degree in CS with the Database Administration as a major field. A well-structured database is the basic element of a faultless program that is suitable and elastic with future changes to the work system mechanism. I expect to learn more advanced and diverse technologies because my study will be more specialized and detailed, which would sharpen my skills in the related field. I am keen to explore further about the applications of the database theory to secure sizeable information and data.
For the past months, I have been enrolled in intensive English courses in my country Jordan to acquire the ******** skills needed to meet the requirement of the Computer Science Department and to achieve my desired goals.
After I get the master degree in the Database Administration, I plan to work as a database administrator, a database analyst, or a database architect. Such positions will enable me to make major changes to the mechanisms of administrating computerized information systems for multiple applications utilized in my country. The people in our region use programs that do not fully meet their needs. Also, these programs have shortcomings. I believe that after I get my master degree, I will be able to minimize the effects of these shortcomings by designing stronger databases that serve the daily requirements of my society.
I have been working in the educational field for three years as a teacher. I have taught Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. I feel I have good knowledge about the educational field and its particulars. I think the teaching experience I gained has qualified me for better employment of the knowledge I will hopefully learn from your university in my country's institutions.
I believe that the American education system has the best to offer in the entire world, and especially for the computer science study and its real life applications. If I have the opportunity to be part of the intellectually stimulating environment, my talents will certainly be put to optimal use.
Jordan, like the rest of the Middle East countries, is a developing country with an enormous potential in the computer technology business. To serve the needs of this developing environment and its population, a great importance will be attached to the computer science applications. Thus, the conditions here,and in our region also, are favorable for me to fulfill my aspirations when I return after completing my graduate studies. I do believe that the new degree will give me the tools of success I aspire for.
